The new Mercedes-Benz T-Class MPV arrives to take on the VW Caddy Car News

The new model, which will be available in Style and Progressive versions, rides on 16-inch steel or 16-inch alloy wheels, with 17-inch alloy wheels available as an option.

At 4498mm long, 1859mm wide and 1811mm high, the standard wheelbase T-Class is 2mm shorter, 4mm wider and 9mm lower than the standard wheelbase Caddy.

The unique touches continue inside, where the T-Class gets its own individual multifunction steering wheel, instrument graphics and round air vents, among other changes aimed at giving it a typical Mercedes appearance.

The front seats have also been upgraded with firmer padding than those used by the Renault, while the more equipped Progressive model gets the same Neotex artificial leather dash trim found on other better-positioned Mercedes models.

A 7.0-inch infotainment screen offers the same Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) functionality as the A-Class, including the “Hey, Mercedes” voice search prompt.

Befitting a car of this class, the T-Class offers plenty of convenience with large door bins and plenty of storage space. There are also foldable plastic tables built into the back of the front seats.

As part of a comprehensive safety package aimed at giving the new model a five-star safety rating from EuroNCAPit also comes with seven airbags, including a center airbag deployed between the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat to reduce the risk of the two coming into contact with each other in a severe side impact.
