Neil Parish: Tory MP ‘watches porn on behalf of Commons’ revealed Brighton News

The MP for Tiverton and Honiton in the South West now reports to the House of Commons Standards Committee.

Mr Parish was first elected to Parliament in 2010 and is the current chair of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee.

The revelation ends days of speculation after Tory MPs declined to name the person involved.

A spokesperson for the Chief Whip told the Telegraph: “After speaking to the Chief Whip this afternoon, MP Neil Parish reports to the House of Commons Standards Committee.

“Mr. Parish has been suspended from the Tory Whip pending the outcome of this investigation.”

Boris Johnson calls the accusations ‘totally unacceptable’

It comes after Boris Johnson called the allegations ‘completely unacceptable’ as senior ministers denounced Westminster’s ‘shameful’ culture.

Attorney General Suella Braverman said if the subject of the complaint is found to have watched adult material, it should cause him to “no longer occupy his privileged position as an MP”.

During a visit to Burnley, the Prime Minister told broadcasters: “I think it is obviously unacceptable for anyone to do this sort of thing in the workplace.

“It would be the same for any type of job across the country, let’s be absolutely clear about that.

“What needs to happen now is that the proper procedures need to be followed, the independent complaints and grievance procedure needs to be activated and we need to understand the facts, but, yes, this kind of behavior is clearly totally unacceptable. ”
