Complete BBC Platinum Jubilee television and radio program UK News

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is a highly anticipated event, and a whole program has been put together by the BBC to celebrate it.

There will be coverage in May and June, with programs airing across the BBC’s TV and radio channels, as well as its on-demand platforms.

Kirsty Young will return to the BBC in June to host a full weekend of Queen’s Platinum Jubilee programming and will be joined by presenters including Huw Edwards, Clare Balding, AJ Odudu, Roman Kemp and Anita Rani.

Hosts Young and Kemp, 29, will lead live coverage of the Platinum Party at the Palace which takes place on June 4 and will be broadcast live on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and the BBC Network.

The celebration will see famous faces from the world of entertainment come together to perform in a night of musical tributes to celebrate the Jubilee.

Sunday May 22

RHS Chelsea Flower Show – RHS Chelsea pays tribute to the Queen’s longstanding support of the Flower Show.

Friday May 27

Radio 3 – The Verb: Live from the Queen’s Private Library – Ian McMillan presents The Verb, Radio 3’s showcase for the best in new poetry, writing and performance.

Saturday May 28

BBC World Service – The Royal Diplomat – Emma Barnett speaks to close colleagues and insiders who know the Queen.

Monday May 30

Radio 2 – The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show (6:30-9:30 a.m.) – Zoe Ball performs uplifting songs for a holiday suggested by listeners.

Radio 3 (all week) – Composer of the week: Handel and Crown – Donald Macleod explores Handel’s relationship with the British monarchy.

Wednesday, June 1

Jubilee Special Bargain Hunt – Bargain Hunt takes a royal turn, with two teams of monarchy fanatics battling it out

The Special Jubilee Repair Workshop – Jay Blades and the team are working on four treasured heirlooms with a royal connection.

Platinum Jubilee: Parade of Color – A very important event in the Jubilee celebrations, Huw Edwards, Kirsty Young and JJ Chalmers will host live coverage of Trooping the Colour.

Platinum Beacons: Lighting up the Jubilee – Traditional beacon lighting across the country and across the Commonwealth forms an early part of the live coverage.

morning live – The show features and surprises some of the winners of the Platinum Champions Awards.

The only show – A first of two specials to mark the Jubilee on Thursday and Friday.

EastEnders – Albert Square locals party at The Queen Victoria pub.

Radio 2 – All Day PopMaster Platinum – Ken Bruce hosts a Platinum Jubilee special from PopMaster from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Radio 4 – A Laureate for Elizabeth – William Sieghart looks at the work of Poet Laureates and how they represent attitudes towards the monarchy.

Asian Network – The radio channel is hosting an all-day female takeover with Queens of Throwback Mixes by Harpz Kaur, Noreen Khan, DJ Kizzi, DJ Manara and DJ Nish.

Friday, June 3

Platinum Jubilee: A Service of Thanksgiving – David Dimbleby, Kirsty Young and Sophie Raworth broadcast the Thanksgiving service live with senior members of the royal family in attendance.

The crown jewels – Clive Myrie has access to the crown jewels.

Radio 2 – All day platinum pop hits – Music is played all day by platinum artists from the past 70 years.

Radio 3 – Live music from the BBC National Orchestra of Wales – The BBC National Orchestra of Wales presents a Jubilee program live from St David’s Cathedral in Pembrokeshire.

Radio 4 – Meetings with Elizabeth – Royal observer and writer Robert Lacey presents an hour of jubilee celebration memories of meeting the Queen.

CBBC – Blue Peter Jubilee Special – Blue Peter airs a Jubilee takeover at 5pm on CBBC and BBC iPlayer.
