Citroen Ami UK price and specs confirmed Bedford News

The small electric quadricycle will be offered in three passenger specifications as well as a single-seat My Ami Cargo delivery version and will come with the option of color accessory packs that can be installed at home.

An exact on-sale date is expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, but customers can now get an Ami with a £250 deposit.

Base versions of the Ami will cost £7,695 and, in keeping with the simple philosophy of the vehicle, are really basic. Standard equipment includes a digital speedometer, LED front and rear lights, panoramic glass sunroof and USB charging port, along with a few seats and not much more.

Buyers can jazz up their standard Ami with one of three color packs. The £400 kits – available in orange, blue or grey, include colour-coded wheel covers, rear pillar decals, dash storage boxes, dash bag hook, dust caps exterior door and storage nets and color coded floor mats. They also add a phone holder to the dashboard and a connection box to allow drivers to use the MyCitroën application to monitor the state of charge of the vehicle.

The Ami Pop will cost from £8,495 and includes the orange color pack pre-installed as standard. It adds black trim to the Ami’s “face”, lower front and rear bumpers, and around the taillights. Pop versions also feature a black rear spoiler and orange decals surrounding the door caps with a number 2 design.

The £8,895 Ami Vibe upgrade brings a black finish to the top of the front bumper, front and rear bumper bases and taillight surrounds. The top model also gets decorative black roof rails, black wheel arches and “Contours” decals on the doors and front fenders.

The £7,995 My Ami Cargo will go on sale alongside the two-seater passenger version. It is designed as a last-mile cargo solution for delivery companies and other city-based businesses, offering 400 liters of cargo space. Instead of a passenger seat, it gets a 250-litre modular lidded storage box with adjustable floor height and “mobile office” top surface.

All versions of the Ami are powered by an 8hp electric motor and feature a tiny 5.5kWh battery. Citroën says the Ami will hit 27.5mph (although it doesn’t reveal how long that takes) and cover 46 miles between charges.

A charging cable is integrated into the frame of the passenger door and allows the Ami’s battery to be fully charged via a 7 kW Type 2 connection in approximately three hours.

In its home country of France, the Ami is available for long-term hire, where it costs just €19.99 per month, and car-sharing, where drivers pay around €10 per month and then 26 cents per month. . minutes to use. For now, Citroën remains silent on the advisability of such an approach in the United Kingdom.

Eurig Druce, Managing Director of Citroën UK, said: “I am delighted that we are able to announce UK prices and specifications for the Ami and My Ami Cargo. These exciting new quadricycles show how the Citroën brand is bringing innovation, electric mobility and smart design to the widest range of people, giving customers a radically different view of urban transport. What’s really exciting is that we’re launching Ami in the UK due to huge public demand – it’s a perfect example of our ‘Power to the People’ thinking.

Citroën were initially unsure whether to bring the Ami to the UK, but were encouraged by strong customer interest. Since its UK release was confirmed, over 2,000 people have made deposits for a Friend.
