JThe Chancellor unveiled a £15billion financial relief package on Thursday, including hundreds of pounds cuts on energy bills to help people through a worsening cost of living crisis.
The proposed level of support had to be weighed against concerns that pumping too much money into the economy risked pushing prices higher still.
