Emergency and NHS workers can take advantage of a special discount event UK News

Big savings could be around the corner if you work in the emergency services, NHS, social services, defense or are a foster parent. Blue Light Card’s annual Big Blue Weekend runs July 1-4 this year, and organizers are promising savings of up to 35% across retail, travel and beauty.

The four-day event will take place ahead of the NHS anniversary on July 5 and will include time-limited discounts from Charlotte Tilbury and Hotels.com, as well as big prizes up for grabs, including a stay at Warwick Castle and skip a family vacation at Butlin’s. To get your hands on the offers you need to be a holder of the Blue Light Card, which allows members to save money all year round. Signing up for a Blue Light Card is quick and easy and can be done online at www.bluelightcard.co.uk.

A card costs £4.99 and is valid for two years. A wide variety of emergency services, NHS, social care sector and armed forces are eligible to apply, and membership is also open to charities such as Blood Bikes, the Red Cross and the RNLI.
