Traffic and parking restrictions on several roads in the Barnet area UK News

Traffic restrictions will be imposed on the roads in the Barnet area while the work is being carried out and to put an end to “obstructive parking”.

Notice from the London Borough of Barnet in this week’s edition of Barnet Borough Times detail limitations, including temporary road closures and waiting and loading restrictions.

Coleridge Walk will be closed to vehicles for five days starting May 25 to install a new water connection.

However, the closure will only apply during the day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the execution of the works.

From the same day, “anytime” waiting and loading restrictions will be put in place at Friern Park to allow gas work to be carried out.

The order, if returned, is expected to last five days and will see limitations imposed on both sides of the road from a point opposite the east flank wall of No.127 Friern Park to a point 35 yards at west of this point.

In the meantime, new “anytime” waiting restrictions are expected to be introduced on a number of other routes on a permanent basis.

The ordinance will come into effect on June 8 and aims to “deter obstructive parking and improve sightlines and safety.”
