A car has overturned on its roof in an accident this evening.
The A23 at Handcross southbound to B2115 Nursery at Warninglid was closed by police following the collision at approximately 6:20 p.m. and there were serious delays in the area.
The road has now been reopened, but there may still be long delays, police said.

Writing on Twitter this evening, Sussex Police Inspector Darren Taylor said reports came from the public just after 6 p.m. of a car “on its roof” and that other vehicles were involved in the crash.
He reported that police units were on the scene and said firefighters had been alerted.
