Rapper Genesis Elijah to play Bedford Esquires Bedford News

Rapper Genesis Elijah is due to perform in Bedford during a coup for promoter Warren Temple.

Elijah has always wowed fans with his original and unpredictable style, whether on the Glastonbury stage or at Wembley Arena.

Now, the Brixton-born songwriter and producer is booked into Esquires on a night where Bedford’s talent will also take center stage.

Warren, of The Sound Temple, said: “It’s been a long time since I did a concert in my hometown in this capacity.

“I absolutely wanted to get involved again and do some live events and thought it would be nice to come out with a live show to support all of the fantastic local talent that I feature on my radio show every week. Acts of support are all the artists I have championed over the past 12 months on the air.

“The Esquires were fantastic, I’ve known Gareth Barber for many years and when I contacted him he was super accommodating.

“Obviously Esquires has an excellent reputation for live music, so it was a natural fit.

“Genesis has a solid and well-deserved reputation in the music industry and again the relationship I have with him is one that has been built over the years and as a true fan of him, coupled with with the fact, it’s been a while since he graced a scene in Bedford. I thought who better to headline what will hopefully be the first of many events. “

The rapper will be supported on Friday July 9 by promising artists Carlito Daboy w / Mini Man, Geo Gritz, Wkd Whisperz // All in Ent.
