Human remains found in Neasden during the search for Agnes Akom UK News

Police officers investigating the disappearance of a 20-year-old woman found human remains in a park.

Officers made the discovery while searching the Neasden Recreation Ground yesterday (Monday, June 14).

The Met is awaiting forensic identification but says Agnes Akom’s family has been made aware of this development. They are supported by specially trained agents.

Ms Akom, also known as Dora, was reported missing on May 11, two days after leaving her home in the Cricklewood Broadway neighborhood.

The Hungarian national, who moved to the UK three years ago, has not been seen or heard from since the day of her disappearance.

On May 23, Neculai Paizan, 63, of Peel Street in Kensington & Chelsea, was charged with the murder of Ms Akom.

Paizan will then appear in court on August 6 at Old Bailey.

Chief Detective Inspector Neil John, Principal Investigating Officer of the Met’s Specialist Crime North, said today: “The discovery of human remains by my colleagues who are searching the area is both shocking and deeply disturbing to all. concerned, in particular for Agnes’ family who continue to be supported by specialized agents. I ask that their privacy be respected at this very difficult time.

“I expect my team and fellow forensics to stay at Neasden Recreation Park for a few days as they maintain the grounds and complete their site reviews.

“I would like to thank the local community for their patience as we continue our investigation of the recreation grounds. ”
