Love Island: the ex of Aaron Connolly of Albion could join the cast of ITV2 Brighton News

ALBION striker Aaron Connolly’s ex-girlfriend is set to join the Love Island cast.

Lucinda Strafford, who was in a relationship with the footballer for two years before going their separate ways earlier this year, is reportedly appearing on the ITV2 dating show.

Before their split, the 21-year-old lived with the Brighton footballer and Hove Albion and the couple even created an Instagram account dedicated to their new home.

Yesterday, ITV2 announced the first cohort of applicants ready to enter the Love Island villa, and although Lucinda was not included in the lineup, speculation is rife that she may join as a late arrival. .

Lucinda was fired from her job as a flight attendant at British Airways during the lockdown, according to The Sun, and has since launched her own fashion brand – The Luxe Range.

Her Instagram, which has more than 38,000 followers, is full of pictures of her visiting beautiful destinations such as Saint Lucia, Mauritius and the Maldives.

She hopes to follow in the footsteps of former contestants Laura Anderson and Amy Hart of Worthing, both of whom had previously worked in the airline industry and became fan favorites.

Laura Whitmore will return as host of the popular reality series when it returns to screens on Monday, June 28.

This will be the first time the ITV program has aired since last year’s summer series was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hugo Hammond will be the first contender to perform with a physical disability alongside an official, model and luxury events host.

Hugo, 24, a physical education teacher from Hampshire, was born with clubfoot and previously played cricket for the England team for the disabled.

He will join civil servant Sharon Gaffka, event host Aaron Francis, engineer Jake Cornish, fashion blogger Kaz Kamwi, model Shannon Singh and waitress of Nando Liberty Poole in Mallorca.

This year’s ITV2 show begins June 28 at 9 p.m. ET.
