Brent Cross Town community funding returns for third year UK News

Brent Cross Town, the new 180-acre downtown project north of Cricklewood, is bringing back its community fund for a third year.

The fund that increased its prize pool to £ 35,000 is now open to small charities and community organizations that focus on delivering new ideas or existing projects that support its key themes: Outdoors and Active, Wellness mental and physical and community friendliness.

Local groups and projects, including local initiatives and branches of national charities; schools and educational organizations; non-profit organizations; and social enterprises based in and around Childs Hill, Golders Green and West Hendon are all invited to apply for a £ 500 to £ 5,000 share of the £ 35,000 fund.

Since the fund’s launch in 2019, it has been a great success with 18 diverse community groups receiving total funding of £ 55,000, with far-reaching local impacts. In 2021, the Brent Cross Town Community Fund wishes to advocate for initiatives that create thriving communities and that reflect the ambition of the new downtown to be an inclusive, people-centered place that strives to be healthy. and sustainable.
