August 26 is International Dog Day, and while we certainly don’t need a single day to scream our love for our dogs, we wouldn’t be the pet loving nation we are without it. make even stronger tomorrow.

Whichever way you choose to celebrate your dog, some extra hugs, a puppucino, even a dinner treat, what is sure is they are worth celebrating. And what better way to treat your puppy than a long run along the beach and a dip in the sea.

ShowersToYou has set out to find the top rated dog beaches in the UK so you can take your puppy for a festive beach walk tomorrow. They reviewed over 150 beaches to find the top 10 for you and your puppy and shared the results.

Top rated beaches for dogs in the UK

The beaches are rated out of 10:

  1. Durdle Gate, Dorset: 9:30 a.m.
  2. Cuckmere Haven Beach, East Sussex: 9.13
  3. Man O’War Beach, Dorset: 8.99
  4. Bay of Three Cliffs, Glamorgan: 8.79
  5. Longsands North Tynemouth, Tyne and Wear: 8.69
  6. Yellowcraig, Lothian: 8.62
  7. Marloes Sands, Pembrokeshire: 8.55
  8. Seacliff, Lothian: 8.35
  9. Bosta Beach, Hebrides: 8.28
  10. Porth joke, Cornwall: 8.22

Durdle Door in Dorset took first place! With an almost perfect score of 9.30 out of 10, this is the perfect beach getaway for dogs and their owners.

In second place is Cuckmere Haven Beach in East Sussex. With the neighboring white chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters touring nearby, the peaceful pebble beach is a great place to bond with your four-legged friend.

Another Dorset favorite, Man O’War Beach, ranks third at 8.99 out of 10. Also known as East Durdle Door, another pebble beach offers calm waters well protected from the swells, perfect for swimming. your dog soaks his paws (and yours too)!

Three Cliffs Bay in Glamorgan comes in fourth overall, but it’s the first sandy beach on the list! The shore is covered with perfect dunes for your dog to run around.

Longsands North Tynemouth finished in the top five at 8.69. Located on the north east coast of England, this dog friendly beach is another great place to walk your dog.

It’s no surprise that Devon, the county also known as ‘Mother Nature’s playground’, is home to some of the most popular beaches for dogs. A whopping 22 beaches out of 151 making the rankings.

Pembrokeshire County comes next, with a total of 21 beaches. Bordered by the sea on three sides, it’s no wonder it has a plethora of beaches to offer.

Cornwall ranks third with a total of 14 popular dog beaches. Home to harbor villages and towering cliffs, you and your pet will never be bored there.
