Uber Eats and Asda team up this holiday to offer free sunscreen UK News

Uber Eats has partnered with Asda to give customers a free Garnier Ambre Solaire sunscreen with their Uber Eats app orders for a limited time this weekend.

The deal comes after a nationwide poll found only 22% of Britons still wear sunscreen when the weather is good in the UK despite 46%, double that figure, be sure to wear an SPF when of your trips abroad.

Almost a third of people, 29%, think it is unlikely that sunscreen is necessary in this country even though 37% have already suffered sunburn at least once this year.

Residents of Manchester and Belfast came out on top as most likely to wear sunscreen in the UK, but those of Leeds and Liverpool admitted to being less careful about the sun.

When the sun is not shining, harmful UV rays can still damage the skin. Research shows 44% think sunscreen is an expensive purchase, so it is hoped that this free product will help Brits take care of their skin by wearing the right SPF.

The data also revealed that 38% of UK adults admit to burning easily. Therefore, in addition to sunscreen, you may need to take additional steps to stay safe in the sun.

Customers in eight UK coastal towns can order their free sunscreen through the Uber Eats app for a limited time only, by simply placing an order with Asda worth £ 5 or more.

Locations include Blackpool, Bournemouth, Brighton, Broadstairs, Cardiff Bay, Clacton on Sea, Eastbourne and Great Yarmouth.

Uber Eats will deliver skin-friendly items with an average delivery time of under 30 minutes, which means customers looking to protect themselves from the sun can quickly grab the essentials.

Customers should order on time, however, as the offer is only available from Friday 27 September, while supplies last.

Offer valid on select menu items only, available until 11.55pm on 3 September 2021 when you spend £ 5 on menu items excluding delivery charges.

It’s valid on a single order at select ASDA stores in the UK, and you can check the Uber Eats app for availability at participating stores, promotional products, and deliveries.

Delivery charges apply and service charges will be calculated on the total of the pre-promotion and will be applied to the order.

Other charges such as small order charges may apply. The offer is not valid on any basket including alcohol or tobacco products.
