Sarah Harding dies: Members of Girls Aloud pay tribute UK News

Girls Aloud members Cheryl Tweedy, Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts all paid tribute to former bandmate Sarah Harding as she passed away at the age of 39.

Harding revealed in August 2020 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer that had spread to other parts of her body.

She sadly died of cancer on the morning of Sunday September 5th.

Nadine Coyle and Nicola Roberts shared photos of Harding that day, leaving heartbreaking comments.

In Coyle’s post, she wrote: “I am absolutely devastated !! I can’t think of any words that could express how I feel for this girl and what she means to me !! I know many of you will feel this. For now, I am sending you so much love !!! ”

Roberts shared several photos of herself and Harding saying she “couldn’t accept that this day had come”.

“My heart hurts and all day long everything we’ve been through together has turned my head. Especially last year since her diagnosis, as difficult as the year has been, our new memories are strong in my heart, ”she wrote.

What did Kimberley Walsh have to say?

Walsh posted a few pictures of herself and Harding together on Instagram the next day, saying it “hurts so bad”.

“Waking up and knowing that you are really gone is too much to bear. Hearing your infectious laugh was one of my favorite things in the world, ”she wrote.

“Your fire was burning so hot and you loved, lived and laughed so hard. Sending love and strength to all who are in mourning today. My heart is broken.”

What did Cheryl Tweedy have to say?

Cheryl Tweedy was also poignant in her Instagram post, saying that while she “knew that day would come” she was still “at a loss for words.”

“As I try to work my way through these waves of painfully strange and horribly unknown waves of disbelief and finality, I wanted to express my condolences to all of our GA fans,” she wrote.

“We have been like extended family for so long and we know many of you by name. I wanted to make sure you knew how much your love and continued support meant to Sarah in her most vulnerable times.

“She was so grateful and you really cheered her up when she needed you the most. I also realize that so many people will be deeply affected by the circumstances of Sarah’s death… I send much love to you all. I love you Sarah… goodbye.

Girls Aloud was a group created in 2002 as part of the ITV Popstars: The Rivals talent show.

They enjoyed great success, becoming the UK’s best-selling girl group of the 21st century, and achieved a streak of 20 consecutive top 10 singles in the UK.

They stayed together until 2009, before taking a hiatus, returning briefly in 2012, and finally going their separate ways in 2013.
