The first trailer for the highly anticipated Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has been released online.
Marking the third film in the Harry Potter prequel, the trailer sees Mads Mikkelsen reprise the role of Grindelwald from Johnny Depp.
The trailer sees Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and his team teaming up with Jude Law’s Dumbledore as they travel to the Wizarding Stone featured in Harry Potter, Hogwarts.
During the gang’s adventure, they will become entangled in a magical heist and encounter new beasts as the film delves into the story of Dumbledore and the villainous Grindelwald.

“If you listen carefully enough, the past will whisper to you,” Law says before introducing the protagonists, whom he describes as “a magizoologist, his indispensable assistant, a wizard from a very old family, a schoolteacher and a Muggle.” .
Mikkelsen is later seen in the character announcing, “Our war with the Muggles begins today.”
Depp has stepped down from the role of Grindelwald following a legal battle with his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Mikkelsen, whose credits include Bond villain The Cipher and Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the Hannibal TV series, was later announced as his replacement.
Fantastic Beasts: Secrets of Dumbledore is set to hit theaters worldwide on April 15, 2022.
