Police searching for Southgate student find body at Waltham Abbey UK News

Police searching for a missing young man discovered a body.

Metropolitan Police have appealed for university student Lucas Opanuga, 21, who was reported missing by his family at around 4pm on February 22 after leaving the family home in Southgate, north London, to get himself go to the stores.

The Portsmouth University student had returned home to London on February 8.

On March 3, the Met tweeted that a man’s body had been found in the woods of Waltham Abbey. The force added that Mr. Opanuga’s family had been notified.

The tweet read: “We have previously appealed for assistance in locating Lucas Opanuga, who was reported missing in Enfield. Officers searching a wooded area yesterday found the body of a male.

“Lucas’s family have been notified of this development and are being supported by officers.”
