Two men wanted for stabbing pub UK News

Police investigating a stabbing that left the victim in need of extensive reconstructive surgery want to speak to a Hendon man about the incident.

Met officers were called to a pub in Chiswick High Road, south-west London, at 11.20pm on Saturday February 19 following reports of a stabbing.

Emergency services responded and found a 40-year-old man seriously injured in the head, neck, arm and hand.

He was taken to hospital where he underwent surgery and his injuries will require continued treatment and rehabilitation.

Another man was also assaulted by multiple people, leaving him with a broken nose, swelling and bruising.

The Met says its detectives have identified John Paul McDonagh, 30, and Shamus Mongan, 19, as people they want to talk to about the incident.

McDonagh is from Greenford while Mongan is from Hendon. The pair are known to frequent other areas and could be anywhere in London, police say.

Detective Sergeant Luke Taylor said: “This was an unprovoked attack which left the victim with very serious injuries which will have a lasting impact. This type of violence cannot last and we will do everything possible to bring those responsible to justice.

“We have conducted a number of inquiries since the incident and have been able to identify two named individuals whom we want to locate and speak to urgently. We have made the decision to release their photos and names in the hope that someone one knows them, or knows where they are.”
