The Apprentice: where is Claude Littner and who is replacing him? UK News

The popular commercial series will air its sixteenth series on BBC One on Thursday January 6 and 16 new candidates are vying for Lord Alan Sugar’s investment.

Entrepreneurs will compete to win life-changing £250,000 by completing tasks and fighting for their right to stay in the famous boardroom.

This year will be slightly different, with Claude Littner not returning to Lord Sugar’s side after a bicycle accident.

He will be replaced by Tim Campbell, winner of the first series in 2005, and will join Baroness Karen Brady CBE.

Lord Sugar said: “Claude has been on the show from the start and leaves an important boardroom seat to fill temporarily.

“In the meantime, my former winner Tim Campbell will take Claude’s place and be my eyes and ears as the contestants face a tough set of business challenges in the upcoming series.”

Here’s everything you need to know about Lord Sugar’s new assistant.

Tim was the very first winner of The Apprentice in 2005.

He landed a £100,000-a-year job with Lord Sugar’s Amstrad company.

Tim said: “I’m delighted to be looking after Claude’s boardroom chair while he recovers and I can’t wait to see what the candidates come up with for this year’s assignments.

“I was saddened by the circumstances which led to the call being received from Lord Sugar, but having been on the show myself, I know the hard work that goes into it – so I did not take the decision lightly.”

After two years, he founded his own charity, the Bright Ideas Trust, which helps young people start their own businesses.

He is also the co-author of one of Amazon’s Top 10 Business Books of 2010 titled What’s your bright idea?

In 2012, Tim earned an MBE for Corporate Culture and now has a digital marketing agency, Marketing Runner.

The Apprentice airs on BBC One and iPlayer at 9pm on Thursday 6 January.
