There are significant delays on a number of routes, including the M25 this evening (April 4).
This is due to a police incident at exit 23 of the freeway in South Mimms.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it was called to reports a man had been assaulted on the M25 ramp shortly after 3.30pm.
Officers and paramedics are currently present, police say, and an air ambulance has been called to the injured motorist.
Police said at 5:30 p.m. that means the entire roadway will be temporarily closed to allow the helicopter to land.
The ramp also remains closed while investigations are carried out to establish the circumstances of the incident.

Following the incident, clockwise traffic was most disrupted, with queues returning to junction 21 for the M1 near Bricket Wood, according to Google Maps data at 4:45 p.m.
Bignells Corner, which is the roundabout where the M25 and A1 meet, appears to be completely blocked causing delays in both directions on the A1 at Junction 23 for the M25.
Due to the problems on the M25, the roads in Potters Bar are busier than usual and traffic is also heavier in the London Colney area.
