London Underground: Easter weekend service closures UK News

Passengers traveling through London over Easter should expect severe disruption as planned closures take over London’s Underground network.

As Transport for London encourages travelers to check before traveling with widespread closures and bank holiday services in place.

But don’t panic if you plan to travel through the capital over Easter, as there will still be plenty of transport options, you can just expect busy services.

London Underground service at Easter:

From Friday 15th April to Monday 18th April the Hammersmith and City Line will be closed.

On Good Friday April 15 and Saturday April 16, the Northern Line will be closed.

Battersea Power Station will be closed and the bank branch will not operate between Euston and Moorgate.

Additionally, the District Line will not run from Tower Hill to West Ham and between Earl’s Court and Kensington Olympia over the weekend.

On Sunday April 17 between Richmond and Turnham Green, the District line will be closed.

The Piccadilly line will not run between Acton Town, Heathrow, Rayners Lane and Uxbridge for the four days during the upgrades.

Some lines will close earlier, April 9-10, with no service on Bakerloo Line trains north of Queen’s Park.

The London Overground will also see no trains running between Euston and Watford Junction.

Finally, the DLR will be closed between Prince Regent and Beckton from Good Friday to Easter Sunday.
