Met Office weather warning for wind in Hertfordshire, London and Essex UK News

Residents of Herts, London and Essex can expect windy weather today (April 7) after the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning.

Until 6 p.m. tonight (April 7), you can expect high winds on the streets with gusts of up to 45 mph forecast.

It will arrive in a westerly direction and is expected to disrupt road, rail and air travel.

As some bus and train services are most likely to be affected, you’ll want to keep up to date with services via the TFL website.

A Met Office spokesman said: “Winds will strengthen across central England this morning with gusts of 45-50mph developing widely and a few places experiencing gusts of around 55mph. The winds will s ‘will subside from the west later in the afternoon.’

Elsewhere for today’s weather you can expect sunny spells with temperatures not too cold with highs of 12C.

But you’ll still want to bring a really heavy coat with the wind, as temperatures quickly drop to just 6°C.
