Jubilee Line Night Tube set to return this weekend UK News

The Jubilee Night Tube line is set to return after an enforced two-year suspension caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The return will take place on the evening of Saturday May 21 and will only take place over the weekend at the ideal time for the start of summer.

Transport for London has confirmed the news of the much-anticipated return and even hinted that night services on the Northern and Piccadilly lines will return in the summer.

With the Jubilee line running all night on Fridays and Saturdays, from May 21 and joining the Central and Victoria lines which resumed service in November last year.

TfL said they hoped the return of overnight services would help businesses, including bars, clubs and restaurants, as London’s nightlife economy returned to normal.

For many, the return of night tubing will be a big relief with safe and fast travel options for all travelers making the most of London’s exciting evenings.

Nick Dent, Director of Customer Operations, London Underground, said: “The return of the Night Tube to the Jubilee line, along with the Piccadilly and Northern lines later this summer, will boost the night economy and help our customers travel. around London overnight at weekends.

“London is a global destination and we are proud to do our part to help people enjoy the best of its cutting-edge nightlife economy safely and happily.”

Elsewhere, the Tube will continue to operate between 5.30am and 12.30am in central London Monday to Saturday, and TfL started running trains earlier on Sunday.
