Katie Price undertakes community service at Horsham charity shop after drink-driving accident Brighton News

KATIE Price was spotted doing community service at a charity shop following her drink-driving accident.

The Brighton-born former glamor model was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work after she flipped her BMW on the B2135 in Partridge Green in September last year.

She was also given a 16-week suspended prison sentence and a two-year driving ban.

Katie was seen arriving at the Horsham Matters charity shop on Wednesday.

According to their website, Horsham Matters is a Christian charity which aims to alleviate hardship by providing essential services such as food, fuel and shelter.

The organization runs a crisis support service for people in need of essential items, as well as a food bank and budget support.

They also offer counseling services to food bank clients and run an overnight shelter in the winter.

Katie previously revealed her ongoing battle with depression following the accident.

During an episode of her Channel 4 show Katie Price’s Mucky Mansion, the 43-year-old said she just wanted to “snuggle up on the couch and sleep”.

She went on to explain how her horses helped her recover.

“You can have a really shitty day and then you can come to the stables and just switch off. I guess it’s like when people go to the gym and stuff, for me it’s around horses, I love it,” she said.

“I know I’m better because I’m back with the desire to do the horses and get back to it. It’s sad because there was a time when I didn’t do anything, I didn’t have the energy mentally.

“When you’re in a depression, you can’t be bothered to do anything. I couldn’t be bothered to walk to the stable and even pet the horses.

“I was looking out my kitchen window and thinking ‘should I just go downstairs, and think I can’t be bothered and curl up on the couch and want to sleep. That’s how bad I was.

She also underwent treatment at the Priory last year.
