We selected 20 photographs from the ChronicleLive archives of local people who participated in our daily “vox pop” section 15 years ago
We return with another selection of Chronicle ‘vox pop’ photos from years past. In this case, they are from 2007. You might recognize someone in one of the 20 photographs.
Over the past few months, we’ve been posting photos from different years of the first decade of the 2000s. Some people have even been in touch to say they’ve spotted family members, friends, or former co-workers of work.
In our daily vox pop section, we asked members of the public their opinion on a certain news item or issue of the day. A photographer and a journalist ventured through the streets of Tyneside and collected the views of a random group of individuals.

This set of photos takes us back 15 years to 2007. As always, we hope the years since have been good for everyone photographed.
At the time, they were voicing their opinions on a range of topics, including David Beckham’s reported £500,000 weekly salary at LA Galaxy, Chinese New Year, policing in Newcastle’s west and bird flu.
