Londoners woke up this morning to find Trafalgar Square had a facelift.
As the iconic landmark has been transformed into a grassland green space, unlike its normal dark concrete aesthetic.
Bringing the area back to its roots, the square has been modernized to help Londoners imagine what the capital would look like before urbanisation.
Created by innocent Drinks and Orchard Project as part of their “The Big Rewild” campaign, it even saw the beloved lion monuments covered in greenery, flowers and even oranges.

The campaign hopes to regenerate and protect two million hectares of land around the world, and what better place to start the campaign than at one of the world’s best-known landmarks.
But if you want to see the attraction for yourself, you’ll have to be quick because it will only be in the square for one day (April 27).
However, he will visit other locations around the country over the next eight weeks, including Manchester, Lewisham, Port Talbot and Edinburgh.
Reaction to Trafalgar Square Meadow makeover
Reaction for the makeover has been mixed on social media, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One person tweeted that although pretty, they questioned the real damage they had caused, saying: “A day of grass and trees in Trafalgar Square?
I saw the meadows of Trafalgar Square this morning @BBCBreakfast and took the detour on the ride. It’s worth it, but I have two problems: why only one day? Another agreed that while it was worth a look, he wanted to know why it was only for one day instead of becoming a long-term feature of the monument.
However, not all felt that way with one user saying: ‘Trafalgar Square has been revamped this morning, it looks amazing…can we keep it’
And another agreed to say, “If you want to see Trafalgar Square in a whole new light today, check out what @innocent did with @WelcomeToFrank! They completely transformed it!”
So it might be worth taking a little stroll around the square today before it’s too late and enjoying the bit of greenery.
