Roads that are expected to be closed in and around Barnet from Friday UK News

Motorists in the Barnet area face disruption due to temporary roadwork closures, starting Friday.

Notice from the London Borough of Barnet in this week’s edition of Barnet borough hours detail the extent of closures and other restrictions that may be necessary during the execution of the work.

Westside, at its junction with the Great North Way, is expected to be closed to vehicles for three days from 8 a.m. on Friday for water works, but access to residents will be maintained via the junction with Watford Way.

The alternate route will pass through Great North Way, Watford Way and Westside.

Hill Close is expected to be closed for five days from 8:00 a.m. Monday to establish a new water connection, but restrictions will only be in place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Church Way, between numbers 32 and 40, is also expected to be closed from 9 a.m. Monday for the same reason.

The work is expected to last five days and the detour will be via Church Way, Church Crescent and St James Avenue.

New water connection works mean Hayes Crescent, at its junction with Finchley Road, is expected to be closed for four days from 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

Drivers are advised to use Hayes Crescent, Bridge Lane, Finchley Road and vice versa as an alternative route.

The erection of a tower crane means that Winnington Road, between numbers 56 and 60, is expected to be closed for two days from 8 a.m. on Saturday June 26.

However, the notice indicates that if the work is not carried out at that time, it will start either on Saturday July 3 or Saturday July 10.

The detour during this time will be via Winnington Road, Ingram Avenue, Wildwood Close, Meadway, Holne Chase, Winnington Road and vice versa.
